Big Swirls

Watch the video about swirls, all the different kind of swirls! Then make your own swirl, start in the middle and very carefully draw around and around the center to form your own swirl! add some colors!


Trees look at all the trees here in Corrales ! Lets draw a tree starting at the bottom and working our way up to all the small branches.

Think about how your tree is going to reach up, how the branches are going to reach out and form smaller branches.

You need the model magic, the square colored paper which is used just like the spider hotel we made in the fall, the little square of material for a blanket, a small piece of wire for a straw, and the small square of foam for a pillow. Come to class and I will show you how to make a mouse, a cookie and a glass of milk!

Yayoi Kusama is the Polka Dot Queen! All of her art work is about dots and organic shapes. She is an artist from Japan. Have a look at her video and with the colored paper in your art packet cut out some organic shapes, shapes with no straight lines. Glue them onto a different colored paper, make at least 3 and then polka dot everything!
