Hi, my name is .... I'm a native New Mexican with a large and diverse family. Growing up, I was shown the value of being biliterate. This has allowed me to have rich experiences due to my ability to communicate with English and Spanish speaking folks n my community. I have grown in the field of photography in these experiences (see some of my photos below).

These seals of bilingualism and biliteracy serve as my formal recognition that I have studied and attained a high level of proficiency in English and Spanish by high school graduation. These recognitions are noted on my transcripts and will be reflected on the diploma. The emphasis of my content includes:

• the study of language
• language and biliteracy skills
• twenty-first century skills
• the native and foreign language instruction in my class
• and the diversity in a multicultural and multilingual society

The content in this portfolio is guided by the standards that are presented in the APS District Resource.
