Teaching Philosophy

My philosophy of gifted education includes the following:

· Gifted students require a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of the whole child: cognitive, creative, social and emotional aspects.

· Gifted students learn and grow with exposure to learning activities that support the learning process as well as products

· Learning through complex themes and meaningful content within content areas, such as Science and Social Studies, helps support creativity, critical thinking, and development of individual interests

· Gifted students need to learn about themselves and find the ways they will become successful, independent, lifelong learners
