UPCOMING EVENTS:

CURRICULUM

LANGUAGE ARTS

This year we will continue to use Benchmark Advanced, a newly adopted reading curriculum by the district. Some of the components we will work on are comprehension, fluency, writing, grammar, listening, and speaking. Science and Social Studies are embedded in each unit.

MATH

This school year we will continue to use Math Origo Stepping Stones curriculum for Math. Origo Stepping Stones was built on the Common Core State Standards and there are 12 units of study called modules. Each module has 12 lessons. Some of the concepts students will study are Place Value, Number Sense, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Geometry, Decimals, and Measurement. Additional supplemental curricula will also be used to support Common Core Standards.

Technology

Technology will be our main form of learning using Google Classroom and Google Meets. Some of the application students will use daily are google classroom, google meets, google slides and google docs. During the next three weeks, I will teach students how to use each of the applications to support student learning. Benchmark and Stepping Stones curriculum will be integrated into distance learning using these applications.
