How to Be a Field Trip Chaperone or Classroom Volunteer!
North Star asks that all Volunteers consider obtaining an Unsupervised Parent Volunteer Background Check rather than a Supervised Check. Having an Unsupervised Parent Volunteer clearance ensures that volunteers can chaperone field trips and assist in classrooms without a teacher present.

Easy-to-distribute birthday treats are always welcome in our classroom (e.g., cupcakes, donuts, pre-packaged items in bags or boxes).
We have one student with a cashew allergy to take note of this year.
We always sing to celebrate our student birthdays right before morning or afternoon recess. Students will eat the birthday treat outside during recess.
