CLASS EXPECTATION:
Students will work hard in our classroom. Albuquerque Public Schools encourages our classes to work toward getting out in the community. This may look different for individual students, however it will be a priority for my students if appropriate. I will communicate with you about when, where, and all of the details when outings are planned. I typically begin with more basic community outings (in-store scavenger hunts, basic shopping, etc.) and progress from there (using the city bus, volunteering at sites, etc.). I believe that getting students out in the community is a fantastic way for them to practice and demonstrate learned skills.
GRADING:
It is required that the students in this program receive grades. The grading scale is:
100%-90%-A 89%-80%-B 79%-70%-C 69%-60%-D 59% and below-F
Students will receive grades for daily/weekly activities that are guided by rubrics and other classroom data (Daily/Weekly Activities 90%, Daily/Weekly Rubrics 10%).
COMMUNICATION:
Please communicate with me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
