Grading:
Every grading period, students will receive two reports along with their General Education Report Card:

Gifted Report Card
Grades on the report card are determined on the following areas:
areas for which your child receives services (math, ELA, critical thinking and creativity)
classroom responsibilities related to self control and time management
Areas of Qualification Grading Scale:
1 = difficulty at level of goal
2 = nearing proficiency level of goal for period in the year
3 = proficient at level of goal for period in the year
4 = exceeding proficient at level of goal for period in the year
Responsibilities Grading Scale:
I = improvement needed
M = minimal effort
S = satisfactory
E = excellent
Practical Practice
Handwriting without Tears - a no nonsense approach to handwriting for students who are left or right handed
Xtra Math - great practice for math fluency; variety of levels are available to set for student success
IXL Math - excellent practice in multiple grades and areas!
MagicKeys - online stories to share with siblilings, stories range from pre-readers (audio available) to young adult interests. This site also offers games, riddles and mazes to explore - a switch from online games.
