Digital Citizenship

Hello and welcome to E.G. Ross Elementary School and Digital Learning! My name is Christy Snell and I am the Technology Coordinator at E.G. Ross. I have the amazing job of making sure every child has access to a variety of digital tools that will help them become strong digital learners along with laying out a solid foundation of proper use of digital tools in a distance learning environment. Most importantly, our students are taught what it means to be AWESOME Digital Citizens no matter where we are -Home or at school!

Please feel free to reach out to me anytime at snell@aps.edu

Be Internet Awesome is a Digital Safety and Citizenship Curriculum made available by Google, grades 3-5 will use this curriculum to navigate the world of Digital devices and acceptable uses for our digital learning tools in a virtual environment.

We will navigate what it means to be SMART, ALERT, STRONG, KIND and BRAVE online, as we continue to use digital tools for our daily virtual learning.

At EG Ross we will learn what it means to be an Awesome Digital Citizen and we will practice the characteristics of a good digital citizen every time we use our Digital Tools. Digital Citizenship is something you practice and do anytime you are online, or using your cell phone, or playing video games!

For our Primary Students (K-2nd grades ) at EG Ross, we will support and learn about Digital Citizenship using Common Sense Education materials and content.
