First Letter Home:

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Your child has expressed an interest in joining the Tres Volcanes Beginning Guitar Ensemble. We will meet on Wednesdays beginning October 21, 2020, in a Google Meet. We will meet every Wednesday after school from 4:00-5:00. Once we go on a Hybrid schedule, you will be responsible for picking your child up from this activity. Further information on this process will be coming out once the district has made that decision to go to the Hybrid schedule.

Hopefully, you have access to a guitar that your child can use during the Google Meet. However, if you do not have access to an instrument I have some guitars that students can check out if they need one. The next distribution is scheduled for October 30^th.

The good news is: Your child can participate in this ensemble for FREE.

The bad news is: This is a cumulative activity and if your child cannot keep up with the group they will be dropped from the program. If your child is going to be absent from guitar rehearsal, I would appreciate knowing that prior to rehearsal.

Due to the remote environment this year, the first thing we will be learning is how to tune the guitar. Here is a link to a website that can help in that regard: https://tuner-online.com . Please have them get familiar with the process.

Participation in this program is a privilege and all participants must continue to keep up with their daily school attendance, assignments and homework.
