I am delighted to have you in my Spanish class this year. I plan to make this year of studying foreign language an exciting and memorable experience.
Foreign language study is essential today, not only to meet the requirements of higher education institutions, but also because of the expanding global economy and ever increasing job opportunities requiring one or more languages other than English. Students will benefit from learning Spanish no matter what academic or career path they pursue.

First I would like to welcome all of you to my classroom. I am excited to begin this new school year! So that you can better know me, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with a double major in Spanish from the University of New Mexico. I also earned my Masters Degree in Sports Administration also from the University of New Mexico. This is my fifteenth year of teaching and my 8th year at Volcano Vista. I am the junior varsity girls' basketball coach. I hold my students to a high standard in hopes to prepare them for the future. I am excited to see where this year takes us!!
