Dear Parents and Students

Welcome to Volcano Vista for the 2026-27 school year!  I hope you had a fun and restful summer because the upcoming months will be busy for us all.  Before I explain basic rules, expectations, and classroom procedures, let me take a moment to introduce myself.  My name is Ashley Nieder, and I am a 10th-grade English teacher.  This is my tenth year teaching at Volcano Vista, which is also my alma mater. Before teaching, I attended the University of Kansas, graduating in 2016.  I am ecstatic to be back at VVHS and working with your children. Below you will find my contact information.  Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.  I will keep you informed of what we are doing in class by posting assignments and information on my Google Classroom.  In addition, you can always check your student’s grades by logging on to ParentVue. The directions for this will be on the main page of the VVHS website.  Below is a supply list of items that students will need in class.  I look forward to working with you and your children this school year.

Again, welcome to Volcano Vista.  It’s great to be a Hawk!

Sincerely,

Ashley Nieder
