Edgenuity (Middle School): Reading Session Logs
The session logs provide you with information on the following:
When students logged into their courses
How long they worked in their courses
How long they were IDLE
What is IDLE time?
Idle time refers to the amount of time that the student was NOT intereacting with their courses.
Idle time is a critical aspect of monitoring student engagement.
Some idle time is expected as students may need to: (about 10-15 min)
Take Notes
Use the restroom
Research something
Take a short break
Excessive IDLE time, however, COULD indicate that the student may have Edgenuity Courses open BUT they may be doing something completely unrelated.
