About Us

Every day, 70+ children are diagnosed with a critical illness and count on donors like us to help make their wish come true.

When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of Wish Kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a Wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight - giving them a better chance at surviving and thriving. 99% of doctors state that a Wish is a turning point in a child's treatment. 

Welcome to the VVHS Make-A-Wish Chapter, where our main goal is to work with our community to make a positive impact on the lives of children with critical illnesses in New Mexico. Through our dedication and passion for raising funds, awareness, and engagement, we strive to create a world where every child has the opportunity to experience a wish come true. Join us in our mission to make a difference in the lives of these children and their families!

Each year we host a community wide color run, perfect for all ages. We personally invite you, your family, and your friends to join us on at Volcano Vista High School this year to support to New Mexico Make-A-Wish Foundation. Registration is open and fees will include a custom race t-shirt.
