Welcome to the Lynx Team!
Hello! My name is Mrs. Barreto and I am very excited to be your Science teacher this year! We are going to have a lot of fun in 7th grade. This school year will be very exciting and busy as we learn and grow together. Also, I can't wait to meet you.
I have been teaching at Truman Middle School for 14th years and I love being a Science teacher. We are going to spend a lot of time strengthening our science skills so that you will become a super sharp Lynx grade student!

¡Hola! ¡Mi nombre es Sra. Barreto y estoy muy emocionada de ser su maestra de ciencias este año! Vamos a divertirnos mucho en el séptimo grado. Este año escolar será muy emocionante y ajetreado mientras aprendemos y crecemos juntos. Además, no puedo esperar a conocerte.

Science Syllabus
Welcome to 7th grade Life Science. My class and the Next Generation Science Standards Based Assessment will be covering the basics of science; measurement, observations, the scientific method, etc. Both will also cover the basics of Biology; what is living and what isn’t, climate change, chemical reactions, ecosystems, and much more. My students will learn the information necessary to be successful by completing labs, notes, writing tasks, and asking questions. My job is to guide you through the activities and help you learn the information needed. Students job is to focus on science when students are in my class; they need to work hard to achieve their goals for themselves. Together we will make this a rewarding and worthwhile year!

Bienvenido a la clase de Ciencias Biologías del 7 º grado. Mi clase esta basada en los estándares nacionales de ciencia que le darán cobertura a los fundamentos de la ciencia; medición, observación, el método científico, etc. y cubrirán los conceptos básicos de la Biología; los organismos que viven y la materia que no tiene vida, el cambio climático, las reacciones químicas, los ecosistemas, y mucho más. Ustedes los alumnos del equipo Linces aprenderán la información necesaria para tener éxito al completar laboratorios, notas diarias, y hacer preguntas. Mi trabajo es guiarlo a través de las actividades y ayudará a aprender la información necesaria. Su trabajo consiste en centrarse en la ciencia cuando estás en mi clase y trabajar duro para lograr las metas que estableció para sí mismos. ¡Juntos vamos a hacer de este un año gratificante y provechoso!
