Classroom Expectations

Our Virtual Classroom Meeting Norms

• All comments made in the chat should be positive and productive

• Please use the chat and our virtual environment to add an idea, or ask a question

• Use appropriate language at all times

• Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, if you disagree with what someone has said respectfully disagree with the idea not the person

• When someone is speaking, please give them your full attention

• We never take a picture or record anyone without permission

• We “mute” ourselves when not speaking so no one hears background noise

• We dress appropriately when we are meeting 

• We keep video on at all times during class meetings

• Our meeting room is our space so we keep the link private

• We log into class on time.

• We stay in class meetings until the end

• We support one another

• We ask questions when we are confused

• We put away cell phones (unless using the calculator with permission) and turn off distractions to make sure we are fully present and on task during class meetings.

• We respect our classroom space and make sure that we are the only one on camera (no brothers, sisters etc) unless our parents are attending for assistance. 

• We complete ALL assignments given and check the Week at a Glance each day to be sure we are following the class schedule. 

• We check our Google Classroom each day for any changes and/or announcements. 

• All comments on our Google Classroom will be appropriate and on task. We will be kind, courteous and appropriate in all interactions and comments. 

• We stay on task at all times. We use our computers appropriately and only  for assigned/approved searches related to class. 

• We try our best!
