AP US History

Grades are usually updated in the grade book on Thursday or Friday of each week

If a student is absent for a test or quiz, they discuss a time to make it up with me either at lunch or after school

If a student is absent it is their responsibility to ask me for the work they missed (E-mail me or check Google Classroom where the Digital Daily Agenda is posted).

If a student is absent and missed notes, they are posted in the Google Classroom. 

Each student was given three late passes at the beginning of the semester. These can be used to turn in assignments up to one week late. 

Complete assigned homework

Take notes in class. Notes help explain and clarify what is presented in the book. 

Read the text thoroughly with minimal distractions (phone, music, tv)

Interact with the text- sticky notes, written summaries/outlines, etc.

Take online practice quizzes through Khan Academy to see how well you are retaining information in class and what you may want to review

Consider purchasing a paperback version of the textbook on Amazon to highlight and mark up as you go 

Create a study group with other APUSH students
