Hello, and welcome to Hoover MS 2020-21 school year—a year of flexibility, adapting, accepting, and new ways of teaching and learning.

I’ve been teaching for APS for eight years—all within the Intensive Global Support 2 program from pre-school through middle school students. Your children’s growth and happiness are important to me and to our amazing educational assistants, Alex and Marissa. This is our third school year together and we are a solid team.

I moved to Albuquerque ten years ago with my family. I have two adult sons, now living in Boston and Las Vegas, and two siblings, one in Los Angeles and one in New York City. Weekly Zoom calls are keeping us connected.

On the weekends I like to hike the trails in the East Mountains, cook a casserole to eat during the week, and read a lot. The SF Giants and 49ers are my teams.

Hello! My name is Marissa Martin and I've been an EA with APS going on my 3rd school year! I've primarily worked in the IGS setting. This is my second year at Hoover. I absolutely love what I do and am looking forward to working with our students, both old and new! I'm married to my best friend and we have an amazing daughter, Malania! We love animals, we have 4 dogs and 3 cats! We love going camping and just being out doors!

Hi! My name is Alex Sanchez and I have been an EA with APS for 6 years. I've worked in various settings including, but not limited to, IGS and Cross Cat. I worked in an elementary school for 5 years and this will be my second year at Hoover Middle School. I love what I do and I look forward to spending another year with our students, old and new! I am married to my wonderful husband and have 2 kids, Aaliyah and Anthony. I love spending time with them doing various activities around the city and state. We love to explore, especially outside and bonus if there's water! We have 1 dog, 2 cats, and a sugar glider, but I'm definitely a cat person!
