Class overview
This is going to be an exciting year. Even though we are learning online my hope is that we will become a close knit community within our classroom. We will be using Edgenuity for our academics (Language arts, Math, Science and Social Studies). We will also have assignments through Google Classroom. As you work on lessons at home, with the help of your learning coach, I will be meeting with students in small groups for mini-lessons, check-ins and questions. As a team, we can make this a great year.
About me
I've always enjoyed working with students and seeing the progress they make through the year. This will be my 27th year of teaching. I love reading and connecting books with activities to make learning fun. Every year I try to learn something new. In the past, I've learned how to kayak, paint with watercolors, and knit. This year I'm learning all about softball and helping my grandkids practice. I can even pitch a ball! (underhanded of course) I have two grown daughters and 4 grandchildren, 2 girls and 2 boys. I also have a dog named Emma. She's almost 9 months old and loves to play! She might be biting my toes while I'm teaching. š„“
