Please contact Ms. Kristen for a replacement.
If you are in grades K-2, please check with your teacher for your password. Grades 3-12 can reset passwords and corresponding security information at pwreset.aps.edu. Contact Technology Customer Care (APS Service Desk) at (505)830-8080 if you're still having trouble.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to print from all of the Chromebooks. If you have a computer in your home that allows printing, you can use it to log into your Google Drive or Classroom and print from there. If you are not able to access a printer and need to print, please contact your teacher so she can help you come up with a solution.
Only apps and extensions on the APS Whitelist are available on school devices. You can find the list here.
Yes. There is more information about how to download and use the app here: https://sites.google.com/aps.edu/dwfstech/students-families.
No, it is only available on the Chrome browser.
GoGuardian will run on most, but not all, personal devices as long as the student is logged into their APS account in the Chrome browser. Logging into Chrome is not the same as logging into a Google account. The arrow in the this image points to the Chrome login. It should match the student's APS Google login.
Parents cannot block sites or lock down the Chromebooks during the school hours of 6:30am-4:30pm (the hours start early and run late in order to accommodate all high schools and elementary schools).
Your teacher must join the Meet before students are allowed in, so you may have to wait for her to start the meeting.
Make sure that you are logged in with your APS credentials because you can’t enter Meets using your parent’s Google account or your non-APS account.
Clear the cache in Chrome and restart it. Here is how to clear your cache: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en
Try disabling all extensions. Sign out of chrome, then sign back in and try it again. Then you can re-enable any extensions that your teacher has instructed you to use. If you were in a meeting, your teacher will need to let you back in.
Here are some things you can try:
Update Chrome
-On a Chromebook go to Settings (three dots upper right hand corner)
-Click on “About Chrome”
-Check for updates
Remove Extensions
-Remove Nod and/or Gridview extensions
Use 360bps settings on Camera
-Go to Settings in Google Meet (Bottom right of Google Meet screen-three dots)
-Choose Camera and change it from 720 bps to 360bps
Make sure that you have a strong connection to your router (you might want to try moving closer to it).
Sometimes leaving the Meet and then rejoining it can solve the problem.
Students need to "Allow" camera and microphone access in the Chrome browser to use them in Meets Here is a tutorial link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vKItaVDSC9GRv-fF7hkACjpLiWIEvkgL/view.
This shouldn’t be an issue when using the iPad or Chromebooks, but if you are sharing a family device, make sure that you are signed in to your own Google Account. You may need to switch accounts by clicking the icon in the top right corner of your browser window (see: G Suite: Switching Accounts on a Shared Device)
Assignments can be uploaded directly into Classroom using the phone app (it’s an option when using the “Add or create” button in an assignment). Ms. Laura also put together this great tutorial about how to scan a document into your drive.
Make sure that you are signed into your APS Google account and not your personal account. You might need to switch accounts if someone else has used your computer and is signed in. This video shows how to make sure you are signed into your own account on both Chrome and Google: https://youtu.be/-o_5F6GzkIA?t=201.
Students cannot send or receive files outside of the APS domain. Students or parents can download a file from a personal Google Drive onto a non-APS device and then upload it into their APS drive from there.
Google probably saved a copy of your work in the version history. Click on file →version history →see version history.
