About Me...

My teaching career began in 1992 as a third grade teacher! After several years with third, then fourth and then second graders, I taught kindergarten for 16 years.  I came to teach first grade at Osuna in 2015.  Then, in 2021, I made my way back to third graders and I'm grateful for the chance to have a wonderful experience teaching third grade again this year.

I grew up in Albuquerque and attended APS schools before getting my Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree at UNM. In 2019, I achieved my National Board certification in Literacy: Reading & Language Arts. My husband and I are the proud parents of three great young (and not so young:0) men and spend a great deal of our time involved with their activities. Our youngest will start high-school this year and our middle son just graduated from high school.  These two are Osuna alumni (go TIGERS:0).  Our grown son returned to Albuquerque in 2020 and we are happy he has decided to put down roots here after many years in other SW states.  We enjoy our Osuna community and I am privileged to be a part of the staff here.  It is my sincere hope that your third grader and your family will feel the same sense of belonging here at Osuna.  (Yes, we need to update our family photo:0)

I'm looking forward to a joyful and awesome school year!
