The DNHS Teacher Cadet class is a CNM Dual Credit course.
Students earn credit for

During Semester 1:
Teacher Cadets are required to earn 7 hours of Professional Development OUTSIDE of class time per 9 weeks to ensure they finish the requisite 45 Practicum hours as required by CNM for credit by the end of the year.
Teacher Cadets design their own PD experiences which are wide and varied.

Teacher Cadets AND Educators Rising members are trained to be Near Peer Tutors.
Tutors have the opportunity to be paid by APS
through a Near Peer grant to support
ELA and Math learning in our feeder schools.
**Teacher Cadets may elect to be paid for their Practicum hours. as Near Peer tutors.**
