A choice board is an opportunity for students to select their activities for an assignment. The example below could be used in ELA, across multiple grade levels and for varying texts. Your students could have a choice board for a novel they are reading... instead of all students writing a book report. Choice boards acknowledge our students' varying strengths and preferences, they are also a support for differentiation.
