I am an experienced school counselor having worked with high school and elementary school students for over twelve years. I am also a licensed mental health counselor, using various techniques/strategies/coping skills that have helped students in crisis and through grief. In addition, I was a high school math and science teacher for sixteen years. I am a published author and am currently in the process of getting children's books published. I have been married for 37 years to a military man who is currently undergoing cancer treatment; we have raised an amazing family together, including two incredible daughters and two sweet granddaughters. Being girl parents and girl grandparents bring us joy. The skills of raising such fun-loving and kind girls makes me more effective as a counselor, therapist, and teacher.
