Hello and welcome to your E.G. Ross Physical Education Program!! My name is Coach Henry, and I am excited for another fun-filled, active school year! I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Albuquerque in 2004. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Kinesiology from LSU (Geaux Tigers!!) In 2011, I received National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Physical Education.
The P.E. program that I have implemented at E.G. Ross is age appropriate for elementary children and is designed to assist all students to develop the physical competence that leads to confidence and participation in physical activity for a lifetime. My goal is to aid all students in finding a variety of ways to enjoy being physically active in a way that will help them reap all of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social benefits that are awarded to those who are physically active. My curriculum is based on movement concepts, skill themes, and wellness concepts. Safety is stressed at all times, so please encourage your child(ren) to wear tennis shoes to school on the days they will be participating in P.E. class!!
Go Rams!!
