Coach Taylor
Hi there families! I am so excited to be your student's P. E. teacher! I strive for physical development by promoting exercise and healthy eating habits. Furthermore, I encourage team building through physical challenges, activities, sports, and games.
My teaching style is direct and decisive, yet flexible in responding to constantly changing demands. I feel creativity and variety are excellent strategies to help grab and hold student’s attention for increased participation. I foster an exciting and engaging learning environment by utilizing physical fitness with real life connections.

PE Virtual Class Expectations
Students log into their google PE class for their entire virtual PE period.
Students enter their meet muted.
Students use the chat communicate with the teacher, not the hand at the bottom of the screen. No goofing off in the chat.
Students are dressed appropriately. We will be moving our bodies in every PE class. It is advised that students have sneakers/tennis shoes on to stay safe.
Students are in a safe environment that allows for movement.
Students are ready to learn and have fun!
Cameras
Students are expected to have cameras on at all times. This promotes impersonal connections between teacher-student and student-student. This also builds classroom community. There will always be moments when cameras need to be turned o briefly but those should be the exception. Students who are in meets with camera off and who never participate/respond will be marked absent with the exception of those with documented 504 accommodations.

If your camera is not working during our PE meet, all you need to do to receive credit is record yourself doing the activity and email it to me within 24 hours of that class period for full credit.
Attendance
It is important for all students to attend all classes during the school year.
If students are absent more than 50% of the day, they are considered absent.
