Identify the question(s) or inquiry that guided your sustained investigation. (600 characters)
In the beginning of the school year I wanted to focus on abstract art. My sustained investigation was drawing plants in an abstract way. I eventually changed it to drawing different scenes that I see in the car at different times of the day. Once again I changed my investigation, but it was similar to the one before. This one was less realistic and revolved around a made up world. Though I didn't stick to one investigation, I concentrated on three certain elements in all of my paintings. Perspective, light and shadow, and values played a huge role in every artwork I've made in my portfolio.
Describe how your sustained investigation shows evidence of practice, experimentation, and revision guided by your question(s) or inquiry. (600 characters)
As mentioned in the response above, I focused on perspective, light and shadow, and values. You can find these in all the artwoks in this portfolio. I've worked with these before, but this year I pushed myself to work with them even more. The paintings in my second investigation, drawing scenes I see in the car, show growth in my ability to use those elements. For example, in my paintings called "Dawn Down Dellyne" and "Bright Night" I used light and shadows as well as values to help capture the time of day I took my reference photo. Perspective also played a big role in drawing the road.

Processes: Since this was a revision, I just went back and changed some of the things in this painting. Before, there was multiple mountains with sharp points. I connected them to make one big mountain with rough edges. I also changed the color of the grass as well as the sun and added a shadow for the fire.
