Hello Deer PreK Class!

My Name is Melissa Berg. This is my 4th and a half year of teaching at Alameda. Alameda is my home, I have grown up in the community and I'm also an Alameda Elementary Alumni. I am so happy to be part of the Alameda family and giving back to my community.

This is school year is going to be new for all of us. We all will be learning new ways of communicating as well as learning. Let's do our best as a team to make this fun and interactive for your student. This is their first year of school and it is definitely not the school they were expecting. I want to make sure to give them a schooling experience that they will love and when we can go back into the classroom I hope they will be eager to learn about the natural world around them.

In the upcoming weeks, I will bring you lessons and activities that will be engaging to do at home through this site as well as newsletters other information. In the weeks to come changes will happen depending on our COVID status. I will try to keep you updated with information through this website.

Families, we can do this. It will be an adventure but remember we are all teachers in your child's life!
