Please check grades regularly in ParentVUE. Remember that if you or your child would like to re-do an assignment for a higher grade, a process is in place for doing so. Please refer to the "Grading Policy" under "Class Expectations" . Quizzes and tests cannot be retaken.

Scholastic Books

Dear families,

This year, our class is excited to read with Scholastic Book Clubs! It’s a great way to build up your child’s book collection at home and help them improve their reading skills. And when you shop with Clubs, your orders earn points I can redeem for books and other classroom supplies we need.

Here’s how it works: I’ll send home flyers like these throughout the year. If you decide to place an order, you can do that through our class ordering page. Your books will arrive at school about 10 days after I submit our classroom order.

By teaming up with Scholastic, we’ll help your child become a more confident, independent reader—and we’ll build a classroom library all of my students are excited to explore!

Este año, nuestra clase está muy entusiasmada por leer con Scholastic Book Clubs. Esta es una excelente manera de ampliar la colección de libros de sus niños en casa y de ayudarlos a mejorar sus habilidades de lectura. Además, cuando compran a través de Clubs, sus pedidos suman puntos que puedo canjear por libros y otros materiales que se necesitan en el salón de clases.

Así es como funciona: a lo largo del año, les enviaré folletos como estos. Si deciden realizar un pedido, pueden hacerlo en la página de pedidos de nuestra clase. Los libros llegarán a la escuela aproximadamente 10 días después de que yo realice el pedido para toda la clase.

Meet the Teacher

This is my eighth year of teaching and my sixth year teaching 3rd grade! I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost nineteen years and we have four children. My hobbies include spending quality time with my family and friends, traveling, drinking coffee, going on bike rides in the Bosque, and reading.
