Shannon Mae Mitchell is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her career in health care when she was 25 years old. Since that time, she has logged nearly 20 years of experience in various areas of patient care (Registered nurse, Trauma RN, stroke care, cardiac care, critical care nurse, and nurse practitioner). In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Shannon also has an outstanding academic background that includes a bachelor’s degree in the Science of Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida and a Master of Science in Nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program of Purdue University in Davenport, Iowa. She is a kind, caring and empathetic person that has always gone above and beyond to focus on the individual and family to mediate illness and recovery for the most optimal outcome for each individual and their needs. Helping patients achieve the highest level of health through prevention is her mission as a nurse practitioner, and by helping she hopes that next person will help someone until all people help others.
