10 students from the VBASL traveled to Greenville, South Carolina for the SouthEast American College of Sports Medicine Meeting where they presented their research stemming from several projects.

9 students from the VBASL were part of over 6,000 scientists that presented their research at the National American College of Sports Medicine Conference in Denver, Colorado. Following the meeting, students from the lab went hiking at Red Rocks and El Dorado Canyon National Park.

The VBAS Laboratory has students working on research that hold prestigious awards. Chelsea Curry is a second-year graduate student that was awarded a Graduate Research Award which is designed to let her focus on mentored research projects without the typical GA responsibilities. Chelsea has used this time to complete data collection on her thesis and has worked on several other projects in the lab.

Maria Gulas will be working in the Lab as an American Physiological Society (APS) Summer Research Fellow. She is paid by the APS to work in the lab and gather data and then she will be paid to present her data next spring in San Diego at the Experimental Biology Conference.
