Do the Reflection for this week:
Orientation
The goal is to keep your imagination alive outside the workshop. Rather than waiting for a facilitated script, this exercise invites you to step into 2050 on your own and notice what emerges when your imagination collides with your daily context.
Step 1 – Set the Stage (5 min)
Find a space where you can pause (walk, sit in nature, a quiet café, or even a commute).
Put away distractions.
Take 3 deep breaths, reminding yourself: I’m not predicting the future — I’m experimenting with possibility.
Step 2 – Enter 2050 (10–15 min)
Imagine yourself arriving in the year 2050, but it’s the version of the future that turned out brilliantly:
Systems that felt broken in 2025 have been transformed.
Communities are thriving.
Technology, society, and the planet are in better balance.
Use these prompts to spark your visioning:
What do you notice first? (your surroundings, the atmosphere, what people are doing)
What everyday activities are happening? (work, learning, leisure, exchange, care)
What relationships are visible? (between humans, between humans & technology, between humans & nature)
What roles are students, workers, or organizations playing?
Step 3 – Cross Time Back to Today (10 min)
Now imagine you step back into 2025, carrying that 2050 vision with you. Ask yourself:
What signal of this future do I already glimpse around me?
What seeds could be planted now (small practices, relationships, tools) that grow toward that 2050?
What tensions or obstacles are most in the way today?
Capture 3–5 “bridge notes” between your imagined 2050 and your lived 2025.
Step 4 – Anchor with a North Star Phrase (5 min)
Distill your future vision into one sentence or phrase that captures its essence (e.g., “Learning is a web of human-AI partnerships,” or “Cities breathe like forests”).
Deliverable
Post your reflection to the google chat. We will be compiling these reflection into a shared NotebookLM that we will be playing with outcomes together.
👉 Optional: Create a quick sketch, symbol, or photo that reminds you of this North Star and pin it somewhere visible for the week.
