The main character of the series as well as what the show is named after is an orphan who is shamed by the village for having the nine-tailed beast inside of him. He has to push through the constant repeat of being a failed ninja and seeks the approval of the hidden leaf village

This character is the deuteragonist and is considered to be Naruto's best friend/rival. These two characters are what the storyline wraps itself around but side characters are the foundation for these two characters' development

This group of 10 villains are trying to collect all the tailed beasts which there are nine of them in order to supply enough chakra to the God tree to put everyone into an infinite dream while they die in a raccoon. The Akatsuki is the villain organization of Naruto.
