A Message From Our Vice-President of Recruitment
Dear Potential New Members,
My name is Savannah Amos and I am fortunate enough to serve the Nu Alpha chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta at Appalachian State University as the Vice President of Recruitment. Joining Alpha Gam has been one of the best experiences I have had in my collegiate career. I was anxious and unsure of my place here at App State, but joining Alpha Gamma Delta has given me purpose and so many amazing opportunities that I wouldn’t trade for the world. I had a very unique recruitment experience, but AGD was always a constant. The women were always wonderful to me and showed me what it means to be an authentic, genuine, confident young woman. Speaking to women who I would later share irreplaceable bonds and memories with is the clearest example of Alpha Gamma Delta being the perfect home for me. Running home to a sorority that has given me my best friends, future bridesmaids, amazing sorority family, and roommates has been one of the greatest joys of my life!
Some advice I would give you as you consider going into recruitment is to be open minded and 100% yourself!! It is one of the most special aspects of college, and while it may be tiring and scary at times, the outcome is more than worth it. The memories you make during this time will be unforgettable, and the moments you experience after will be unparalleled. You are meant to find your home, no matter where that may be. Enjoy your time during recruitment and remember how special you are! We can’t wait to meet you!
