Each one of my lesson plans focus on a different tactic in the civil rights movement. The first lesson plan is about the sit-in movement. Students will primarily learn about the Greensboro Sit-In and create a short slideshow presentation about the effects of this event. The second lesson plan is on boycotts. On the first day of this lesson, students will learn about the Montgomery Bus Boycott through looking at short sources and pictures. On the second day, they will get into groups and learn about a specific historical figure that aided in the Montgomery Bus Boycott. My third lesson plan focuses on marches. Students will learn about the March on Washington through analyzing a passage about the march and sharing what they found interesting with their groups.Â
