Congradulations to Dr. Jared Skinner, who was recognised today by the University Advising Council for outstanding advising. This award is for work done with students that isn't part of the faculty member's official job responsibilities. These awards are presented annually to one professional advisor, one faculty advisor, and one student support professional who best exemplifies excellence in academic advising.
Former student Lizzie Gamwell was recognised for her work at the App State-Hickory Aging Well Interprofessional Clinic. Lizzie has implemented gait assessment protocols to promote functional aging and independence for adults in the Hickory community.
