Samantha is a first-year student in the Public History MA program at Appalachian State University. Originally from Bristol, TN, she got her Bachelor’s Degree of Political Science from East Tennessee State University. Samantha has an interest in the accessibility of digital archives and hopes to contribute to that in her academic and professional careers. In her freetime, Samantha is an avid reader and also enjoys watching hockey, listening to music, and going on roadtrips.

Emma is a first-year graduate student in the History Teaching MA program at Appalachian State University. While she is originally from Spencer, MA, she gained her Bachelor's Degree in History and Government from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA. Although Emma is pursuing teaching, her historical interests lie in the intersection of women's and music history. Away from school, Emma loves to listen to new music, read, and cheer on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
