Support sErvices

Student lEARNING cENTER

Services include tutoring, available by appointment, drop-in, and weekly group study sessions, and academic success coaching to help you identify personal academic challenges and create a success plan that meets your needs. 

Writing Center

Drop in or arrange an appointment to discuss a writing project with a consultant. These conversations may be helpful at any point in the writing process. 

Office of Access & Opportunity: Disability Resources

  • The Office of Access & Opportunity is part of the Division of Institutional Integrity and provides leadership to the University's efforts to foster a welcoming and accessible environment. The office promotes opportunity in education, programming, and employment and promotes an environment of respect while honoring civil rights for all members of the University community. The Office of Access & Opportunity is comprised of Disability Resources and Equal Opportunity. 

Counseling and Psychological Services offers services to Boone and Hickory students.

Student Health Service 

offers appointments for illness and injury, pharmacy services and vaccine resources for students. Call 828-262-3100 to schedule an appointment — last appointments of the day are taken at 4 p.m. View clinic hours.

Wellness and Prevention Services 

Serves all App State students through the promotion of healthy behaviors, risk behavior modification services, health awareness and active lifestyles while taking an all-inclusive approach to wellness.

University Recreation 

is open with limited hours — regular schedule begins Monday, Aug. 19.

for information about campus parking, game day parking, and bus and shuttle services.
