Welcome to the CardioMetabolic Research Laboratory (CMRL) in the Department of Public Health and Exercise Science at Appalachian State University!

Founded in 2022, our laboratory promotes healthy lifestyle behaviors in the North Carolina High Country and the greater global community! We investigate the role exercise, physical activity, and sedentary behavior can have on various health-related outcomes as well as unique non-invasive strategies to assess your health.
