Nadia Chauhan completed her Masters of Social Work at Appalachian State University, where she also earned her Bachelors of Social Work. As the Project Coordinator for the Appalachian Public Health Innovation Corps and the Appalachian Medical Reserve Corps at Appalachian State, she supports members in initiatives that build community resilience in Western North Carolina through service and education.
In addition to her work with AmeriCorps, Nadia works as a Behavior Technician, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and equipping clients with tools to foster independence. She also works with The Supporting Rural Health Equity Practice and Academia (SHERPA) Network, a project aimed to address Social Determinants of Health and improve health equity in rural communities through academic and practice partnerships.
Beyond her professional work, Nadia enjoys channeling creativity into printmaking, sewing, and baking, and cherishes time with her partner and dog.
