About Mack:

• I worked as an English teacher in Brooklyn, NY and Gaston, OR before becoming a school counselor. I made the switch because I know that students can't learn if their mental health needs aren't met. I'm passionate about racial equity and consistently work to be antiracist. This is my 4th year as a school counselor at George.

• I love long-distance running, music, and video games. I have a very cute orange tabby cat named Kira. 

About Sam:

• I grew up in North Portland and currently live in St Johns, this community is close to my heart!

• This is my first year at George MS. Prior to this I was working at Roosevelt HS for the Step Up program and as an Attendance Coach.

• When I am not at GMS I like to listen to audiobooks, take my dog for walks in the neighborhood, and spend time with my son.
