STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) - UT Austin & NASA
This Summer Intern Program is a nationally competitive STEM program for high school students. Exposing students to Earth and Space research. Interns will learn how to interpret NASA satellite data while working with scientists and engineers in their chosen area of work.

SEAP - Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program.
The Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) places high school students in Department of Navy (DoN) laboratories where they take part in real Naval research for eight weeks during the summer. Stipend of $4,000 provided to participants.
TxDot -multiple (Civil Engineering)
TxDOT Student Grant and Internship program for Students interested in Civil Engineering. They have college scholarships. This one is more of a part time job working with civil engineers:

UCSC - University of California Santa Cruz (Summer)
10 weeks learning from USCS faculty and researchers. Real world research. Min. 14 yrs old. (Local housing in the bay area required. With some expense required.) This may run into the beginning if the Wylie school year. Application opens in March.
QuarkNet, Fermilab & the D.O.E. - 7 week internship in Chicago
you’ll work alongside scientists who conduct Fermilab research. Students will get a stipend.
BTI High School Research Internship - Cornell University
