Saint Henry students must earn a total of 22 credits in the specified subject areas listed below.
English = 4 Credits
Math = 4 Credits (Including Algebra II)
Social Studies = 3 Credits (Including Global Studies, US Studies & American Government)
Science = 3 Credits (Including Physical Science, Biology & Advanced Science)

In addition to meeting the above credits, students must complete at least two semesters of fine arts (during grades 7-12).
The Fine Arts requirement is automatically met when students complete their 7th/8th grade art classes. Students do not have to earn a credit of fine art to graduate.
Students must earn a "competency" score on the English II and Algebra I end-of-course tests. The competency score for both tests is a raw score of 684. On state assessments, a performance score of Proficient is equal to a 3. The minimum raw score to be proficient would be a 700. In order to meet the competency score, students must score slightly below the proficient level. Students not earning the competency score on their first attempt will be able to retake the assessments multiple times up to graduation. In the event a student is not able to earn the competency score on both tests, there are three alternative options they may explore.
Alternative Option #1: College Credit Plus
Earn college credit in a non-remedial math or English course (for the subject area not passed).
Alternative Option #2: College Readiness Score
Earn a remediation free score on either the ACT or SAT for the subject area not passed.
ACT = 22 Reading & 18 English or 22 Math
SAT = SAT 480 Reading/Writing or SAT 530 Math
Alternative Option #3: Military Readiness
Competency can be achieved by meeting the requirements to enlist in the military. Evidence of enlistment is done by providing the school a signed copy of the Department of Defense Form Enlistment/Reenlistment (DDForm4).
Alternative Option #4: Career Experience & Technical Skills
Complete two demonstrations to show competency, at least one of which must be a foundational option.
Foundational
Cumulative score of proficient or higher on three or more WebXams in a single career pathway
Earn an approved industry-recognized credential or group of credentials totaling 12 points in a single career field
Earn a state-issued license in a vocation that requires an examination
Complete a pre-apprenticeship program (registered with Ohio State Apprenticeship Council) or, for students ages 18 and older, show evidence of acceptance into an apprenticeship program after high school
Supporting
Complete a 250-hour work-based learning experience with evidence of positive evaluations
Earn a workforce readiness score on WorkKeys
Earn the OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal
In addition to fulfilling curriculum requirements and meeting the competency requirements, students must also show they are prepared for their next steps after high school. Students will demonstrate readiness by earning at least two diploma seals, one of which must be state defined seal*. An explanation of each of the twelve diploma seals is below.
