Community Impact Overview

The South Windsor High School Capstone Community Impact Project focuses on engaging each student in a personalized learning experience.  This project allows students the opportunity to apply their social, civic, and academic skills while exploring an area of interest outside the boundaries of their formal educational program.

What is a Community Impact Project?

The Community Impact Project is any carefully monitored service experience in which an individual has intentional learning goals and reflects on what they are learning through the experience.   Students who choose this option will identify, research, and undertake a project to impact a particular issue in the community. 

 Community Impact Engagement in the Community - This option allows you to organize, carry out, and reflect on a project that impacts your community.
