Newsela Certified Educator
Grade Band Recommendation - Grades 4-12
FOUR PAID HOURS
You’ll learn how to:
leverage applications and practices of Newsela content
design article and Text Set assignments for lessons and unit planning
analyze assignment trends and student insights in the teacher Binder
collaborate and share resources with other Newsela teachers
lead and facilitate Newsela support for your school community
Time:
We anticipate that the entire course, including exam, will take 3-5 hours
You will have 30 days to complete the lessons and exam
Credentials are valid for 2 years

Book Creator Certified Author
Grade Band Recommendation - Grades PK-12
TWO PAID HOURS
This course is made of 18 lessons and finishes with a quiz to test your learning. The training has around 2 hours of material and is self paced - you can pause and return at any time.
Once completed, you will receive accreditation as a Book Creator Certified Author, with a digital badge you can display on your online profiles, and a certificate of completion.
Seesaw Pioneer
Grade Band Recommendation - Grades PK-3
ONE PAID HOUR
In this course, you will:
Create a Seesaw Community Learning Hub Account
Enroll, take the 45-minute course, and you’re done!
Flip Certified Educator 1
Grade Band Recommendation - Grades PK-12
TWO PAID HOURS
In this session, you will:
Complete your Flip Educator Profile.
Complete the Engage and Amplify course on Microsoft Learn.
(Note: you'll need to create a free Microsoft account to complete the quiz at the end.)
Record a response on the Level 1 Topic answering the prompt.
(Note: this is also in Module 8 of the Engage and Amplify Course.)
Use Flip with your students or colleagues and receive at least 3 video Responses.
Once you have completed the requirements, the team at Microsoft will review and activate your badge.
Flocabulary Certified

To become Flocabulary Certified:
Attend a live webinar, a self-paced webinar, or an in-person training about Flocabulary.
Get comfortable with the product! Attach a PDF of a Lyric Lab that you've created with your class, during a training, or on your own
