The cadet staff of the Wildcat Battalion have an objective, as all staff do. The job of the staff is to maintain the battalion and make its assets run smoothly. Each staff officer has a task, whether that's keeping records or maintaining a website.
Position Duties:
As a senior member of the Corps of Cadets, the Company Commander must constantly be aware of his/her every action within the school and community. The image that he/she has is a mirroring effect on all JROTC programs, schools, and the US Army.
Position Duties:
The Executive Officer organizes the cadet staff properly to ensure that it works as a team. The Executive Officer inspects the work of the cadet battalion staff. He is responsible for ensuring that instructions and orders issued to the cadet battalion are in accordance with the established policies of the Commanding Officer.
Position Duties:
The position of the Command Sergeant Major in the unit is to supervise color guards and ensure they are properly trained. Coordination Platoon Sergeants to ensure proper training. Observing the flag detail, and reporting disciplinary problems to the company commander. He also recommends cadets for promotions and recommends job assistants.
Position Duties:
The S1 handles the administrative duties of the Unit. They coordinate the paperwork for events, cadet information, keep track of awards, and ensure important information is secured.
Position Duties:
The S2 is responsible for the security of Unit property. He does monthly inventories of sensitive items. He also performs any additional duties assigned to him by the Commanding Officer or Executive Officer. As an additional task, the S2 updates and maintains the battalion website.
Position Duties:
The S3 is responsible for preparing and posting all weekly and monthly training schedules. He plans and coordinates competitions between our unit and other JROTC units. The S3 will maintain a record of all extra-curricular events.
Position Duties:
The S4 is responsible for receiving, issuing, and inventorying uniforms and supplies. He insures that the supply room is neat and orderly at all times. The S4 is responsible for notifying the Army Instructor of all supply shortages.
Position Duties:
The S5 is responsible for all public media on the unit. The S5 authors monthly newsletters, and handles all advertising for unit events.
