1 - How is your year 5 class so far?
They are alright! They are a fun and cool bunch of kids.
2 - Would you leave the school and for what reason?
I don't think that it is going to happen anytime soon, but if I were it would be because I would eventually like to improve education laws.
3 - Have you had some challenges throughout this term?
I have had some challenges but I have enjoyed it.
4 - Would you keep teaching set 2 in maths or would you teach another set?
I like teaching set 2 but it would be nice for a challenge in a new set. I am very proud of set 2.
5 - Does your class remind you to calm down when you need to?
They remind me how important it is to take a deep breath and smile.
6 - What have you learnt in your years of teaching so far?
In all my years of teaching, I have learnt that it has confirmed to me that I am definitely in the right profession.
7 - Which year group do you think is the best?
I think that year 5 is the best year group.
8 - Who do you think is the coolest person in our year group?
I honestly think that I am the coolest person in year 5.

1 - How long have you been working in RGJS?
15 years.
2 - What do you think is the best thing about our school?
I think working as a team but the children are fabulous.
3 - People think you are the strictest teacher in the school, do you agree with this?
I do not but it depends on who is asking.
4 - Do you like teaching Set 1 Maths and if you could, would you teach another Set?
I love teaching teaching Set 1 but I would teach Set 2 or 3 because those are the ones that I have not done yet.
5 - What 3 words would you use to best describe yourself?
Happy, hard-working and fair.
6 - What was your greatest inspiration to become a teacher?
When I was little I had a teacher that taught me Literacy and Drama and she inspired me.
7 - What is your favourite subject in school to teach?
Maths and Art.
8 - What was your favourite subject in school growing up?
Drama and music.
9 - What skills do you think make a good teacher?
Knowledge commitment.
10 - What has been your greatest highlight in teaching?
Meeting Kate Middleton.
11 - What has been your greatest challenge in your teaching career?
Spanish because I do not speak it.
12 - Finally, what message do you want to give to the children of RGJS?
Work hard and do the best you can.
Mr Dunn (Year 5 Class Teacher) by Sebastian 6R
1 - Why did you start a year 6 football club?
Because I Love football and I wanted Roe Green to have a successful football club and to have lots of fun.
2 - What got you interested in football?
When I was a kid I was taken to football matches and I played football with my friends and their dads.
3 - What was the best year 6 football club that you had?
This year's group was a lot of fun but last year we reached the Brent Cup final.
4 - What was the worst Year 6 football club that you had?
I have not had a worst although there have been challenges every year.
5 - Did you only start a year 6 football club for this year or did you start one for different years and who are they?
There has always been a football team but I've been doing it since 2016.
6 - Is there another sport which you like to play as much as football?
I love cricket, cricket is my main sport.
7 - Why did you also start a football club for Year 5?
To get them ready for year 6, all age groups should get to play football.
8 - Why did you start the Year 6 football club before the Year 5 one?
The year 6 League was happening at that time.
9 - Why did you decide to end the football club for the boys but not for the girls?
They might have some games and the boys league is over but not for the girls.
10 - Why did you only start a football club for years 6 and 5 but not for years 4 and 3?
There are too many kids and I am also in charge of a lot of other clubs.

I think you’re a great choice because you're responsible, respectful and polite.

1 - How long have you been at RGJS as a teacher?
I have taught at Roe Green for 7 years from the moment I arrived in the UK; 3 years in year 4 and 4 years in year 5.
2 - Why do you support Tottenham Hotspurs so fiercely?
When I moved to England Tottenham Hotspurs were playing so I got Tickets.
3 - Which class do you like the best out of all the classes you have taught?
I have enjoyed all of my classes so far but I remember the ones that have made me laugh.
4 - What is your favourite part about being a teacher?
No two days are the same.
5 - You stopped being a teacher at RGJS, what job would you choose instead?
I would love to become a chef in Greece.
6 - What is the best thing about teaching?
The best part about teaching is that I can watch independent pupils develop their own identities.
7 - Who is your favourite football/soccer player in the Canadian national team?
My favourite player has to be Alphonso Davies from Bayern München.
8 - Do you think you are the coolest teacher in year 5?
I have to import the coolness from a cool country called Canada.
9 - When did you start coaching the year 6 football team?
I started coaching the team with Mr Dunn 5 years ago.
10 - What is your favourite food?
My favourite is Greggs sausage rolls I’ve eaten too many.

1 - How long have you been at RGJS?
10 years.
2 - Why did you choose to work here?
It was my first job after university and I also came here as a student.
3 - If you didn’t work here then where would you want to work?
As a construction worker at a construction site.
4 - Do children annoy you?
No.
5 - Are children kind?
Yes.
6 - What is your favourite school subject?
PE and Maths.
7 - What is your favourite year group?
Every year group - each year group has there own unique personality.
8 - Are you thinking of leaving RGJS soon?
No, as long as Ms Loosemore doesn’t sack me.

1 - When did you start working at RGJS?
July 2014.
2 - What made you decide to apply for a job at RGJS?
I read great reviews and love the way that the school is run.
3 - What is the best thing about our school for you?
The children.
4 - What was your inspiration to become a teacher?
To make children believe in themselves and to chase their dreams.
5 - What other year groups have you taught apart from Year 4?
Year 3 and Year 5.
6 - What was your role before becoming a teacher?
I was a nursery nurse and a receptionist.
7 - What 3 words best describe your personality?
Caring, trustworthy and fair.
8 - What is the best thing about being a teacher?
You are a part of children growth and you get to see and work with children everyday.
9 - What is your favorite subject to teach?
Maths.
10 - If you could have any other job in the world, what would it be?
I would always want to be a dancer.
11 - Where would you see yourself in five years time?
At RGJS.

1 - How have you enjoyed being an Eco-warrior so far?
I have really enjoyed it. Its been very interesting. The activities we do and people we get to meet teach us loads.
2 - How did you feel when you got picked for Eco-warrior?
I felt amazed and proud of myself when I got picked, because I knew that they liked my design.
3 - What do you think of the activities you have done as an Eco-warrior so far?
I think they have taught the other Eco-warriors and me a lot, and helped us gain courage in helping the world.
4 - If you could ever have the chance to be an Eco-warrior again, would you?
I wouldn't take the offer to be an Eco-warrior, but like I said I like being one.

1 - How do you feel about not being an eco warrior anymore?
I feel quite sad, but I feel proud of myself for still being a part of it.
2 - Would you be an Eco-warrior again if you had the chance?
I would. It would be amazing to be an Eco-warrior again and learn more things about the planet.
3 - For the next set of Eco-warriors, what advice do you have for them?
My advice for them is to keep listening to the teachers, and just have fun in any activities.
4 - How was it being an Eco-warrior?
It was a very fun experience, and I really enjoyed it and I want to go back to it, but I can join other clubs or be a school councillor.
