A Huge Success for Jisui Elementary School’s 5th Grade Taiwan-Japan Online Exchange!

At the end of the semester for the 114th academic year, Jisui Elementary School and a Japanese elementary school embarked on an exciting cross-border online cultural feast! Transforming into little cultural ambassadors, the students of Jisui combined the literary classic Journey to the West with traditional Taiwanese glove puppetry and shadow puppetry, delivering a lively performance of "Three Attempts to Borrow the Banana Leaf Fan" in front of the camera.

Not only did the children showcase their traditional skills, but they also thoughtfully prepared English scripts on the blackboard to warmly introduce themselves to their Japanese friends. Meanwhile, the Japanese elementary students sat attentively before their screens to share their unique traditional comic storytelling (Rakugo), broadening the horizons of the Jisui students and allowing them to experience a different cultural depth.

This exchange, seamlessly blending technology and culture, not only successfully brought Taiwanese art to the international stage but also allowed both sides to learn to appreciate foreign cultures through meaningful interaction!

Jisui and Cheonggye Elementary's Online Exchange!

A Huge Success for the Cross-Border Connection! Jisui Elementary School Joins an Online Exchange with Korea's Cheonggye Elementary School!

Through an exciting video interaction, our fifth-grade teachers and students warmly introduced the unique features of the Jisui campus to their Korean friends, including our energetic volleyball team and the distinct school rice paddy landscape. Of course, we also made sure to share everyone's most anticipated school lunch menu and delicious Taiwanese food, creating a truly mouth-watering exchange in front of the camera!

The children also happily held up "I ❤️ KOREA" signs, showing an abundance of enthusiasm and friendship. This virtual meetup not only allowed both sides to learn about each other's distinct cultures but was also an incredibly precious learning experience!
