Human Rights Watch is a non-profit, nongovernmental human rights organization that was established in 1978 with the purpose of providing accurate and up to date facts and statistics about human rights abuses around the world. This is an excellent source to help you determine the degrees of democracy in your country as well as whether or not the rights of the people are being infringed. Search your country to find articles that address how criminals are treated as well.
