I am very excited for the 2018-19 school year at CPMS! This is a very hands-on class where the students are in the shoes of a scientist. In the fall we will study Matter and Interactions, in the winter: Weather/Climate and in the spring: Structure and Function of Life. Besides doing experiments in the classroom, students will engage in ecological activities in the garden and forest. I teach 6th grade Challenge Science Period 2-5 and 6th grade AAP Science Period 6.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking, biking, traveling and cheering on the Mariners/Seahawks with my family. I hold a bachelor's degree in Zoology/Spanish, a Master's Degree in Science Teaching and I recently earned my National Boards Certification.
