Senior portraits

All senior portraits for the 2027 yearbook will be taken at Bothell Landing this summer for FREE.

Students can sign up here for a scheduled time for their FREE yearbook portrait July 7, 8 & 9.

Students who can not make one of those available times can sign up for a later time this summer AFTER those initial dates have passed. (No future dates are available for scheduling until after the main portrait times have passed). Seniors who can not attend any of the portrait sessions over the summer will have one final opportunity for a posed portrait on campus, during the school day on picture make-up day in October.

Students who do not take a posed portrait with the school photographer will have their ASB identification photo in the yearbook.

We do not allow students to submit their own photos (either personally taken or from other photographers) for the portraits section of Scandia. We want all students to be included in the portraits section of Scandia. By standardizing the photograph we can better insure that everyone is included.

Our intent is not to discourage families from using their choice of private photo studios for senior photos, but for the purpose of senior yearbook portraits we use Dorian Studio only (free of cost to families). This method of working with Dorian to take senior yearbook-specific photos is the same method we have used for over a decade.

Having this one free photo for seniors levels the playing field by giving each student a professional photo-studio quality photo; there is no social stigma that students feel based on the type of photo they can afford being printed in the yearbook. If students want to have photos from other studios included in Scandia, they are welcome to use those photos in the Senior Ads section. Purchasing a senior ad is voluntary.
